In this role, you will collaborate closely with a squad that works across the stack, based in multiple locations, to deliver key outcomes. You will lead integration work with other global engineering teams, and collaborate closely with product managers, BI, QA, TPMs, and other functions. You will be reporting to the store-of-value products group engineering manager.Our team builds new products from 0 to 1 and beyond, taking innovative ideas from concept through launch and scaling. ResponsibilitiesLead a team of skilled software engineers building complex flows and business logic across the stack, and own their growth.Take responsibility over a widely used product, running initiatives from planning, execution, and monitoring in production, and continuously improve the process, in order to create value for our customers.Define and track the KPIs of the team.Work closely with different stakeholders, such as product managers, BI, QA.Drive and maintain high engineering standards, for execution, code quality, and customer satisfaction. Requirements8+ years of hands-on full-stack experience in building production-grade products3+ years of experience leading software development teamsExperience leading teams spread across multiple geographiesDeep knowledge of TypescriptHands-on experience with React and/or React NativeHands-on experience and acquired best practices building backend architecture for large-scale systems in productionHands-on experience with cloud servicesHands-on experience working with databases (both SQL and NoSQL)BSc. in computer science/software engineering from a high-end university or comparable experiencePeople person - being able to lead a team of engineers and mentor them to grow and fulfill their career goalsProactive mindset, pushing for team and personal excellenceNice To HaveExperience with Node.js and GoExperience with microservices architectureExperience with mobile development Our Connected Work Culture: Driving Innovation, TogetherAt Remitly, we believe that true innovation sparks when we come together.
