Role: Software Test ManagerEntity Reporting: Head of Delivery, ASEAN Business UnitJob Scope Overview: We are seeking for an experienced Software Test Manager who specializes in the provision of software quality assurance services in the BFSI (banking, finance, securities and insurance) domain to join our team. The role requires a strong foundation in the software testing practice, for both functional and non-functional testing, including strategizing and managing end-to-end test cycles.Key Responsibilities: Primarily responsible for managing end-to-end cycles of software testing engagements of varying types (Functional, Non-Functional, Automation, etc.) and scope, scale and complexity, and phases (Function Test, System Integration Test, System Acceptance Test, User Acceptance Test, etc.) and duration, from initial requirements clarifications, test design and test data development, test environment readiness review and preparation, test planning and scheduling, to execution, defects logging, triage facilitation, and reporting. In doing so, able to establish test scope and strategies, and ensure comprehensiveness in test coverage.Work with client-side stakeholders including Test Project Manager, Business Analyst and DevOps teams Leader, etc. to establish requirements baseline and key dependences, align test design coverage, and plan test schedule in accordance to provisioned scope of managed testing services.Manage, lead, guide and train test team members to devise overall test strategy, produce test design and traceability matrix aligned to the requirements baseline, and then plan, prepare and execute test accordingly, and subsequently, report test observations, facilitate triage, and follow-up on defect till closure, for throughout the test project duration.Support service delivery manager (SDM) on change request, obtaining work completion sign-off, address escalation, mitigate stoppers, and periodic management reporting. Also support SDM on pre-sales activities to review Request for Quotation/Proposal (RFQ/RFP) and provide relevant input to achieve a high degree of accuracy on effort sizing for project delivery.Work alongside other software test managers on the implementation of best practices for Testing Centre-of-Excellence (TCoE).Experience, Qualifications and Requirements:At least ten years of work experience in providing software quality assurance in the BFSI industry, holding respective roles in execution, design, and minimally five years in managing test team.Possess a Bachelor's Degree with major in the Computer Science or equivalent field, and preferably certified in Test or Project Management (e.g. PMP, ISTQB, CSTM, etc.) and familiar with software development lifecycle (SDLC), including Waterfall, Agile, and DevOps.Receptive and keenness in learning, meticulous, analytical, and competent in problem-solving, stakeholder, crisis and team management, with good leadership, interpersonal communication and presentation skills.Fluent in English language, including for both written and verbal communications. Possess clear thought process and able to articulate clearly.Able to travel for short business trips.
