Job Title: Developer – Functional & Mainframe Testing (Property & Casualty Insurance)Experience Required: 6 YearsJob Description:Key Responsibilities: Perform functional testing of insurance applications across Personal Lines and Commercial Lines (Property & Casualty). Conduct mainframe testing activities including validation of batch processes, policy transactions, and data integrity across systems. Analyze business and functional requirements to develop detailed test scenarios, test cases, and test data. Execute test cases, log defects, and ensure timely resolution through collaboration with developers and business analysts. Participate in requirement walkthroughs, design reviews, and test planning sessions. Validate end-to-end workflows covering policy issuance, renewals, endorsements, cancellations, and claims. Perform regression testing to ensure system stability after enhancements or fixes. Use testing tools (such as JIRA, ALM, or equivalent) for defect tracking and test management. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and high-quality releases. Provide detailed test reports, metrics, and status updates to stakeholders.Technical & Domain Skills: Strong experience in Mainframe Testing (JCL, COBOL, DB2, VSAM). Knowledge of Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance processes — both Personal Lines and Commercial Lines. Experience in Functional Testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Familiarity with Agile methodologies and sprint-based delivery. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and testing documentation tools.Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Certifications in ISTQB or equivalent software testing certifications are a plus. Experience working with insurance domain applications and policy administration systems.
