The department is responsible for the daily business activities, ensuring efficiency, quality, and smooth workflow across all functions. It focuses on process improvement, resource optimization, and timely service delivery.Your RoleAs a Site Engineer – Solar Operations, you will:Plan, coordinate, and supervise solar project execution to ensure timely delivery, quality compliance, and adherence to contractual and authority requirements.Provide technical input and solutions during the design, construction, and implementation stages based on detailed site surveys and actual site conditions.Conduct feasibility assessments, resource planning, and monitor proper utilization to optimize efficiency and achieve project milestones within agreed timelines.Collaborate closely with project managers, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth execution and successful project delivery.Lead site preparations, mobilization, and inspection processes, ensuring all required permits and documentation are in place.Prepare and secure MSRA approvals from clients and HSE, and enforce compliance with all safety, quality, and environmental standards.Implement quality assurance and HSE procedures, ensuring adherence to specifications, codes, and welfare policies across the site workforce.Document variations, delays, and technical issues, recommending corrective actions in coordination with the Project Manager.Apply solid understanding of system harmonics, LV switchgear, and PV string performance to ensure technical accuracy and system reliability.Key duties include mobilization, deputation of resources, liaising with client representative for setting up of an office, site survey preliminary data submission and liaising with design department to develop detail design for the installation of PV panels. performing electrical wiring (AC-DC), with the inclusion of cable trays, conduits, connectors and accessories with necessary testing and commissioning, conducting inspections with consultants/ authorities under the guidance of Alec PM.The Site Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising project execution to ensure timely delivery, quality compliance, and adherence to contractual and technical requirements of the authority.The role requires close collaboration with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and project teams to drive successful project outcomes within approved budgets and schedulesCoordinate with Site Supervisor/ site execution team/subcontractors for site preparation, mobilization of the project. Verify all required documents and passes for site activity.Daily project update from site supervisor and work plan for site team to achieve project milestones as per the program. Conducts regular coordination and progress meetings.Arranging internal and external site inspection through consultant/client and getting the approval and responsible for closing comments of inspection. Ensure project milestones and deliverables are achieved within the agreed timeline. Monitor proper resource utilization to optimize efficiency.Provide technical input and solutions during design, construction, and implementation stages based on detail site survey and physical site concerns.Conduct site assessments and make recommendations on solar energy feasibility.Ensure solar energy systems are compliant with relevant legislation.Monitor subcontractors’ performance and resolve technical/site issues promptly.All works ensuring compliance with specifications, codes, and safety standards including worker welfare procedures and implements quality assurance processes to meet project specificationsEnforce compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on the whole site staff and labours.Documentation of variations, delays, and technical issues, recommending corrective actions with Project Manager.Daily Manpower activity record through DSTI to be taken from Site/ subcontractors.Arrangement of internal site inspection and responsible for closing comments of inspection with consultants/client representative in guidance of ALEC PM/ Management.Capability to work for rooftops/Carpark/ground mounts/remote locations/onshore/offshore projects and at heights under the exposure of Sun. Proper estimation of required installation tools during site execution works. Request access from client for the installation of PV modules, DC and AC cable with cable trays, Identify the routing of cables with respect to approved design and shortest feasible lengths.Regular DSTI /HSE document preparation (MSRA) based on site works and maintain all HSE requirements for the project.Good experience to handle electrical connection at LV side to understand electrical drawings and parameters.Installing and maintaining panels on the roof, carpark, ground mount plants including BIPV and Hybrid Solar Solutions. Minimum experience in handling Civil foundation works and confident to install complete Solar structures within the required timeline. Process of Lifting heavy materials, climbing ladders and moving about on roofs and to develop lifting plans for HSE compliance.Conduct routine inspections, diagnose issues, and repair malfunctions in solar PV systems. Perform necessary electrical tasks, including wiring, grounding, and conducting electrical tests.Create an operation and maintenance records with plant generation, and Annual maintenance record procedures with proper reporting.Your working days are Monday to SaturdayYour work location is Dubai or Abu Dhabi (Based on the project requirements) What We’re Looking ForQualification:Degree / Diploma in Electrical Engineering Or appropriate discipline or equivalent demonstrated experience. Dewa PV Certified, SOE, ADDC Approved, Dubai Municipality approved Solar engineered preferred.Experience:Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in solar or electrical site works, with proven ability to manage installations above 200KW across rooftop, carpark, and ground-mounted systems. Previous experience coordinating with consultants, subcontractors, and clients is essential.Knowledge:Strong understanding of solar PV systems, including LV electrical connections, harmonics, switchgear, cable routing, and system performance relative to irradiation data. Good awareness of authority regulations (DEWA/ADDC/DM) and HSE procedures for site-based projects.Expertise:Proficiency in site execution planning, MSRA preparation, quality assurance, and HSE compliance.
