MinterEllisonRuddWatts has the largest specialised construction practice in New Zealand and is recognised internationally as a top ranked (Tier 1) construction practice in the Asia Pacific region. The team has six partners and covers:transactional and advisory construction work (front-end); andproject advisory, dispute resolution, and litigation (back-end), across all sectors of the industry.This opportunity is for a role in the back-end construction disputes team, based in Auckland, and headed up by the hugely experienced partners Janine Stewart, Scott Thompson, Stephen Price and Matthew Ferrier.This role offers you the opportunity to work on complex, high-value High Court construction litigation (including product defect and defective building claims), arbitrations, and adjudications for an impressive client list. The team also works on infrastructure projects during construction of some of New Zealand's largest construction and infrastructure projects.You will work closely with all the lawyers in the team and benefit from client contact from the outset. This role offers you the chance to be involved in some of the most significant construction disputes and projects in New Zealand from some of the leading practitioners in this area.The ideal candidate will be intellectually and commercially astute, and highly collaborative, with 2-3 years' litigation experience, ideally including some construction litigation experience.The team is committed, energetic and highly-capable.
