LOCATION: EMEA - preferred locations: Reading, UK / Bucharest, Romania / Nordics (Sweden, Denmark)THE ROLE:The Solutions Architect Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery (m/f/d) is part of IGEL Global Advanced Services team and operates as a highly skilled technical and business resource. This position works directly with IGELs Sales,Sales Engineering, and Customer Success teams to provide advanced and in-depth technicalsolution consultation for our valued customers.The Solutions Architect Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery (m/f/d) is also expected to operate in an advisory capacity and to collaborate with internal stakeholders to bridge communication and knowledge gaps between the Sales Engineering team and other departments within IGEL such as Product Management,Engineering, and Support.A strong desire to learn and a “can do” attitude is needed. You will be working with anexperienced, motivated team willing to share their knowledge and experience to help you expandyour skillset and succeed in reaching your goals.TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide customers and partners with Business Continuity planning, implementation,and testing of business continuity and disaster recovery strategies.Provide Business Continuity/ Disaster Recovery best practices for partners andcustomers; build and maintain customer and partner rapport; ensure clear,professional communication between our teams and the customerMaintain knowledge of Business Continuity/ Disaster Recovery technology trends byattending training courses and reviewing current technical publicationsUse of remote tools to assist customers; troubleshoot and debug Citrix, VMware,AVD, Amazon Workspace and RDS sessions on the IGEL OSInstall, configure and Optimize the IGEL OS Solutions.Up to 50% travel is required for this positionEXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:Experienced BC/DR Specialist (5+ years) to lead planning, implementation, and testing of continuity and disaster recovery strategies.5+ years relevant engineering, consulting, or system integration experience with one or more vendors or Value-Added Resellers (VARs) in the IT industryExperience with application and desktop virtualization platforms (VMware Horizon,Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Microsoft Remote Desktop Services)Experience with cloud-based technologies (Azure, AWS, Citrix Cloud, etc.)PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Flexibility, integrity and creative problem-solving skills are imperative to success in this roleAbility to be a team player who is influential and builds good working relationships across all levelsVery strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to communicate effectively with sales engineers, sales teams and managementAbility to provide valuable content in the form of a presentation to many people; ability to use Video Conferencing Tools to provide remote sessions with customers.Ability to work independently, under pressure, and multi-taskBe Strong with creating Guides to benefit the entire engineering team at IGEL.Be willing to pitch in and be part of the team in all aspects of company lifeBe proactive and able to adapt to continuous innovationsVery good self-management skills, such as personal organization and time-keepingAn inner drive to do what’s best for the customerAbility to Scope ProjectsAbility to Work with Sales on upselling while engaged with customersInterested?
