Solutions Architect

To support our continued growth, we are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Solutions Architect.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time remote role for a Solutions Architect. The successful candidate will collaborate with clients to design and deliver innovative and scalable cloud solutions. Responsibilities include developing solution architectures, consulting with clients on optimization, integrating software applications, and aligning technical solutions with business goals. This role will also work closely with multi-disciplinary teams to support successful project delivery.Key Responsibilities• Customer success on the Cloud Carib platform, with a special focus on designing and helping customers build production-ready infrastructures while reducing technical risks and debt • Support the Sales team in qualifying clients and developing solutions that best leverage Cloud Carib’s strengths • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies • Continuously learn new technologies that can benefit clients • Achieve trusted advisor status with clients through strong relationship building • Model cloud infrastructures based on application scale and capacity needs, providing data-driven recommendations to optimize architecture and performance • Lead application migrations involving components such as Windows/Linux VMs, databases, NFS/SMB file shares, and VDI environments • Provide strong networking expertise, including SD-WAN, routing, and switching • Demonstrate expert knowledge of VMware-based cloud platforms (vCloud Director) and at least one public cloud (Azure, AWS, or GCP) • Design backup and disaster recovery solutions using technologies such as VMware SRM, Zerto, and Veeam • Support security and governance initiatives, including defining and modelling security baselines and managing security postureQualifications• Expertise in Solution Architecture and designing tailored cloud/IT solutions • Strong consulting skills for client engagement and technology optimization • Experience in software development and systems integration • Knowledge of business process workflows and aligning solutions to organizational needs • Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to work independently • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills • Experience with cloud platforms and managed cloud services is a plus • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferredKnowledge, Skills & Experience• Proven experience architecting and designing complex solutions • Ability to manage multiple varied requests simultaneously • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize key projects • Strong understanding of business challenges and delivering business-oriented solutions • Broad knowledge across functional areas such as security, storage, networking, and infrastructure
