Job DescriptionJob Title: Solutions ArchitectRole type: Full time, permanentLocation: Wellington CitySalary band & range: BTIS – C $130,021 to $174,428 depending on skills and experienceAbout the Role - Kōrero mō te Tūranga As the Solutions Architect, you will work closely with business teams across Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) and the Business Technology and Information Services (BT&IS) group to define solution architecture for projects. Your work will enable successful outcomes for MPI by ensuring solutions are well-designed, pragmatic, and aligned with organisational goals.You will be responsible for defining, maintaining, and communicating solution architecture designs and the associated models for each project. This includes coordinating with internal and external delivery partners to ensure clarity and consistency throughout the project lifecycle.This role offers the opportunity to contribute to exciting change initiatives that support the realisation of MPI's strategic direction focused on supporting the country's food and fibre sector. You will play a key part in planning and implementing solutions that balance strong delivery focus with practical approaches.About You - MōuYou will bring significant experience in solution architecture and a proven ability to deliver successful outcomes across diverse projects and platforms within a government agency. Your expertise will enable you to design pragmatic solutions that meet business needs while aligning with organisational goals.You will be confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels, tailoring your communication to suit technical and non-technical audiences. Your ability to create clear models and documentation will help define target solutions and outline transitional states effectively. You thrive in dynamic environments, demonstrating initiative and adaptability.
