Job Description

Grecotel Hotels & Resorts, the leading hotel chain in Greece, is seeking a Sommelier to join its team. As a Sommelier, you are responsible for promoting and selling wines to guests, as well as managing the wine bottle inventory. You communicate with the Heads of the Food & Beverage Departments regarding the available wine lists. You inform the F&B Manager about the guests' consumption trends and suggest ways to enhance guest service and increase the hotel's wine sales. You are also responsible for training, monitoring, and ensuring excellent guest service in relation to wine recommendations (wine pairing), serving, and wine preservation. Additionally, they actively participate in the planning and execution of themed wine-tasting events for the guests with care by following the company's SOPs. The Sommelier reports to the F&B Manager.
