JOB SUMMARY: We’re looking for a detail-oriented, service-minded Technical Support Specialist I to join our dynamic IT team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving technical issues, supporting users across various departments, and playing a vital role in maintaining our IT infrastructure. From managing help desk tickets to onboarding new users, you’ll help ensure a smooth, secure, and productive technology experience for everyone at Sourcebooks. This is 5 days/week in office in Naperville to start and then a hybrid position after 90 days will be discussed. This is a non-exempt hourly position with a range of $23.
00 - $25. 00/hourly. We determine starting pay based on a thorough evaluation of job-related factors, including geographic location, market conditions, relevant experience, training, and education. Provide Level I support to end users in a mixed OSX and Windows environmentPrioritize and document help desk tickets based on impact and urgencyTroubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently; escalate as needed to Level II supportCollaborate with vendors on warranty-related issuesOnboard new users and train to best practicesSupport technology setup for internal meetings and company eventsCreate and maintain IT documentation and knowledge base articlesContribute to IT projects, including PC imaging, user training, and process improvementsWhat you bring:
Minimum 1 year of experience in an Active Directory environment supporting Exchange Online; experience supporting 150+ user environments is preferredMCSA, MCSE, MCITP, or Linux+ certifications are a plusFamiliarity with Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, PC hardware/software, backup systems, network monitoring toolsStrong communication and problem-solving skills, customer service mindset, team collaboration, and the ability to work independentlyMust Love Books!Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift 25 pounds, bend, and twist.
