Department: OperationsLocation: EMEA-Switzerland-HQDescriptionThe Sourcing Program Manager - NPI leads the sourcing activities associated with New Product Introduction. This means partnering with R&D, Engineering, and Marketing starting in the feasibility phase through the program launch.This role will require strong understanding of the development process, IP related agreements and the ability to influence business partners to use sound sourcing processes. You will manage supplier relationships during the development of new products, negotiate commercial terms, support supplier quality, and identify potential risks to develop robust mitigation. In addition, in the early stages, you will act as a single point of contact for all supply chain matters.You will be joining a global team based out of Rotkreuz, Switzerland with peers in Raleigh – NC, San Jose – CA, Wroclaw – PL, Juarez – MX, and Ziyang – CN. Internal business partners are geographically distributed in locations beyond the above. This position is based fully onsite in Rotkreuz 5 days per week.Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify and manage risks associated with meeting technical and operational targets for project launches.Maintain and communicate project timelines, supplier issues and potential obstacles.Use your influencing skills to gain support from the business to implement new processes, as well as to drive compliance with those new processes.Act as an internal point of contact for supplier sourcing, supplier performance management, and supplier relationship management. Help and mentor your business partners in those areas.Negotiate supply agreements to include costing, inventory expectations, IP and any other needed termsSupport technical teams in resolving supplier driven issues with the development processDevelop relationships with the R&D, Engineering and Marketing team to help integrate into their planningCoordinate with Category Managers once the product launches to ensure their ability to integrate new suppliers and products into their category strategiesSkills, Knowledge & Expertise6-10 years of relevant sourcing experienceExperience working with R&D and/or Engineering directlyExperience working in the medical device industry or other regulated industryMedical device experience is a strong preferenceScience degree is a plusGlobal experience a plusStrong project management skillsContinuous improvement experience, experience with building new processesSelf-starter, demonstrated ability operate and excel in ill-defined environments requiring structureExcellent business partner engagement skills, influencing will be a key component of this roleAbility to navigate through a matrixed organizationApplicant Privacy PolicyReview our Applicant Privacy Policyfor additional information.Equal Opportunity StatementAlign Technology is an equal opportunity employer.
