Please note that SYMCA follows a structured salary grading system for all roles, and the offered salary for each post will be at the starting point within the specified grade. Key ResponsibilitiesWe’re delivering a major digital transformation – starting with a new CRM that will change how we work with the people and communities of South Yorkshire.

We’re also improving how we use Microsoft 365 and building a new data platform to support smarter, faster ways of working. As our Adoption and Change Management Officer, you’ll lead the work that helps people across the organisation understand what’s changing, why it matters, and how to get the most out of it. This is a visible, hands-on role. You’ll be out in the organisation – running training, creating guidance, answering questions, and helping teams build confidence with new tools. You’ll be the go-to person for making change feel simple, clear, and accessible.

Your work will have real impact. By supporting staff to adopt new systems, you’ll help deliver better services for residents, businesses, and communities across South Yorkshire. In this role, you’ll:

Lead adoption and change activities for our new CRM and other digital projectsMap who’s affected by change and design the right supportDeliver clear, practical communications that explain what’s changing and whyRun training sessions, workshops and drop-ins to build digital skillsCreate simple user guidance – quick tips, how-to guides and FAQsTrack adoption by monitoring usage and gathering feedbackIdentify risks and blockers to adoption and help resolve themPromote a culture of digital confidence and continuous improvementSkills, Knowledge And ExpertiseExperience applying change and adoption methods in digital projectsA background supporting CRM or enterprise system rolloutsGood working knowledge of Microsoft 365, especially SharePoint, Teams and OneDriveAwareness of AI tools like Microsoft Copilot and how they fit into the M365 ecosystemStrong communication skills and the ability to connect with different audiencesThe confidence to build relationships and influence behaviour across the organisationA commitment to inclusion and accessibility in how change is deliveredIf you want to help people feel confident with new technology and play a direct part in delivering better public services, we’d love to hear from you.
