Position Overview: Southeast Connections LLC provides inclusive infrastructure solutions for the natural gas industry. The Fleet Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily shop operations and supervising technicians performing maintenance and repairs on fleet vehicles and equipment (Assets).
This role ensures that preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM), regulatory and company standards. The Fleet Supervisor acts as the first-line leader for the shop team, supporting uptime, safety, and productivity. Essential Functions: The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Daily Shop OversightSupervises day-to-day shop activities to ensure timely completion of repairs and scheduled maintenanceAssigns and prioritizes work orders, ensuring alignment with PM schedules, operational needs, and safety requirementsMonitors workflow to meet fleet asset readiness timelines and minimize downtimeTeam Leadership & SupportLeads and supports a team of technicians, including scheduling, coaching, and task supervisionTrains new technicians in standard operating procedures (SOP), tools, safety expectations, and diagnosticsPromotes a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvementMaintenance Quality & ComplianceEnsures all work performed meets OEM specifications, company standards, and regulatory compliance (Federal/State/Local)Reviews completed work orders for accuracy and thorough documentationMaintains tool control, parts inventory oversight, and fleet asset inspection readinessSafety & Shop EnvironmentEnforces company safety policies and industry best practices, including use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)Maintains a clean, organized, and efficient shop environmentAddresses and escalates safety or compliance issues promptlyCommunication & CoordinationReports status updates, challenges, and needs to the Fleet ManagerCoordinates with operations to align fleet asset availability with project requirementsSupports third-party vendor interactions as neededEducation/Experience:
Education & CertificationRequired: High School Diploma or EquivalentPreferred: Technical or vocational training in diesel or automotive repairDesired: CDL, State Inspection License, FMCSA Brake Inspector CertificationExperience: Required: 3+ years of experience in vehicle/equipment maintenance and repairPreferred: 1+ year in a lead or supervisory roleDesired: Experience in construction or utility fleet operationsTechnical & Functional Skills: Strong mechanical knowledge of light-, medium-, and heavy-duty vehicles and equipmentFamiliarity with Fleet Management systemsCapable of reading schematics, using diagnostic tools, and managing repair documentationUnderstanding of regulatory compliance standards (DOT/FMCSA/STATE/OSHA)Proficient with Microsoft Office 365Core Competencies: Maintenance SupervisionTeam LeadershipTechnical TroubleshootingSafety & Compliance FocusPlanning & PrioritizationCommunication & CoordinationPhysical Requirements:
