Southern Cross Wellington HospitalHealthcare Assistant - WardSouthern Cross Wellington Hospital is a private surgical hospital and integrated, purpose-built specialist consulting centre. The hospital features day procedure facilities, five operating theatres, diagnostic technologies, and a modern intensive care unit – all of which allows the hospital to provide for the needs of a variety of patients, including those at higher-risk, given the increasing number of complex elective surgical procedures now performed in the private sector. Clinical services include Orthopaedic surgery, Neurosurgery, General Surgery, Gynaecology, Ophthalmology and Urology.
First established in 1992, the hospital has seen significant additions and upgrades on the site over recent years. Further expansion is currently underway to add much-needed surgical capacity to the Wellington region and expand the core hospital services to also include a broader range of healthcare services. Mō te Tūranga | About the RoleWe are seeking a Healthcare Assistant to join our friendly and dedicated Ward team. This is a part-time 0. 6 – 0. 9 FTE role. Our Healthcare Assistants have a high level of patient/whanau interaction; this role is an integral part of our service.
You will work as part of a tight-knit multi-disciplinary team offering support and assistance to the Inpatient team nurses.
