YOUTH ACTIVITIES COORDINATORThis unique role will be a part of SpaceX’s Starbase Education team. Our goal is to support the education of all children who are a part of the Starbase SpaceX community.
As such, this job comes with many responsibilities but primarily entails designing and leading many bespoke Starbase youth programs, including our daily Extended Day Program (EDP), camps held throughout the year, and a series of youth activity programs for kids throughout the year. This individual will work closely with the Education Director throughout the year. ResponsibilitiesLead the extended day program for Ad Astra students dailyDesign a bespoke, rigorous, enriching extended day program curriculumDesign and execute on camp programming (e. g.
, Summer Odyssey, Thanksgiving camp, winter break camp, spring break camps)Create an intentional calendar of events and programs throughout the year that impact all Starbase childrenSupport the Starbase Education and Ad Astra teams in achieving their goals in academic excellence and social-emotional wellnessBasic QualificationsExperience managing projects in a school setting Experience working in education environments Preferred Skills And ExperienceExperience building and implementing programsPassionate about disruptive educational opportunitiesExperience in prioritization and time managementExperience in stakeholder management and presenting to senior leadersDeeply curious and ready to learn and work hard in high pressure, fast-paced environmentsDeep heart for all children and believes in their ability to learn and growHigher education degrees in related fieldsAdditional RequirementsMust be able to work extended hours, occasionallyMust be able to work on weekends, occasionallyItar RequirementsTo conform to U.
