We specialize in facilitating seamless transitions to new countries with a focus on legal compliance and cultural integration.As our client base in Spain continues to grow, we are seeking a qualified Spanish Immigration Lawyer to support individuals relocating to Spain — with a particular focus on long-stay visas such as the Non-Lucrative Visa (NLV), Digital Nomad Visa (DNV), self-employment and passive income permits, family reunification, and residence-based paths to citizenship.Role OverviewWe are looking for a licensed Spanish Immigration Lawyer to provide expert legal support to our predominantly English-speaking clients seeking relocation and long-term residence in Spain.This is a remote, freelance position – not full-time employment – and the selected lawyer will collaborate with Citizen Remote as an independent contractor.ResponsibilitiesAdvise and represent clients in all matters related to Spanish immigration law, including long-stay visas, residence permits, and citizenship applications.Guide clients through key immigration pathways such as the NLV (Non-Lucrative Visa), DNV (Digital Nomad Visa), self-employment/freelance visas, family reunification, and residency renewals.Prepare and review documentation, oversee application submissions, and communicate with Spanish authorities and consulates.Maintain clear, timely, and professional communication with clients throughout the visa and relocation process.Collaborate with Citizen Remote’s operations and legal teams to enhance client workflows and improve overall experience.(Optional) Participate in webinars, podcasts, or educational content focused on Spanish immigration topics.Engage with expat and remote work communities in Spain to strengthen Citizen Remote’s brand presence.RequirementsLaw degree from an accredited university and full qualification to practice law in Spain.Demonstrated expertise in Spanish immigration law and experience managing visa and residence permit procedures.Excellent English communication skills (spoken and written).Strong understanding of the needs of remote workers, digital nomads, retirees, and entrepreneurs.Comfortable using digital tools, CRMs, and client management platforms.Ability to simplify complex legal concepts for clients.Preferred QualitiesSelf-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills.Proactive and flexible in a fast-paced, international client service environment.Interested in contributing to educational content and community engagement initiatives.Already self-employed (not affiliated with an existing law firm).Compensation and StructureAbility to set your own rates (we provide insights on industry rates).Fully remote and flexible schedule.Opportunity for ongoing professional growth in global mobility law.Independent contractor arrangement – no employment relationship, salary, or employee benefits implied.How to ApplyPlease send your CV and cover letter detailing:Your legal experience and Bar Association registration in Spain,Your track record with NLV, DNV, self-employment, or family reunification visa cases,Experience working with English-speaking clients, andComfort with remote-first collaboration.Important NoteThis opportunity is strictly for freelance, independent lawyers (autonomo).
