Due to our sustained organisational growth, we are currently seeking an early to mid-career spatial analyst to join our Biodiversity Team.You will be responsible and accountable for:Contributing to delivery of projects using spatial technology solutions for our clientDeveloping GIS, remote sensing, spatial modelling, Data Management and Cartographic / mapping skillsWorking with both the ecology and GIS teams across Australia to deliver spatial products such as habitat mapping and models, remote sensing assessments, cartographic mapping and other technical services as part of a broader, multidisciplinary teamProviding mentorship and support to ecologists in using spatial technologiesWork on a diverse range of environmental projects and programs within a broad multi-disciplinary context across Australia – honing your skills in spatial technology, remote sensing, GIS and mapping.What do you need?Our people are passionate technical specialists that enjoy the wide range of benefits and diversity of consultancy life. We are keen to find like-minded professionals that have the following experience and attributes:2-4 years relevant professional experienceRelevant tertiary qualifications in GIS / Spatial Sciences / Surveying (Bachelor or Post-graduate level)Experience working on environmental and ecological projectsExceptional teamwork and relationship building skillsAbility to thrive in fast paced project environments and multi-taskDrive to develop GIS and Spatial Information technology skills and applicationsMandatory:Familiarity with ESRI Suite (ArcPro) for map production and analysisFamiliarity with QGISA background in environmental sciences and/or ecologyExperience with remote sensing analysis for environmental applicationsExperience with habitat mapping and modellingStrong report writing skillsDesired:Experience with LiDAR and photogrammetric data (both aerial and drone)Knowledge of species distribution modelling approaches and best practicesExperience with ArcGIS OnlineExperience working in Carbon Sequestration and/or renewablesFamiliarity with Queensland vegetation types and ecosystemsPython programming skillsStrong statistical analysis skillsExperience working with CADWho We Are:As the world’s leading sustainability consulting firm, ERM is uniquely positioned to contribute to the environment and society through the expertise and energy of our employees worldwide.
