Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Special Education Teacher at the British International School Gdańsk in Gdańsk. The primary responsibilities include designing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs, collaborating with classroom teachers to adapt lessons, providing support for students with disabilities, and fostering an inclusive learning environment. The teacher will also maintain open communication with parents and staff to ensure the holistic development of the students. Qualifications Proven experience in Special Education and working with students with disabilitiesStrong teaching skills, particularly for Middle School and Special Education settingsExcellent communication skills for effective collaboration with students, parents, and colleaguesEmpathy, patience, and a passion for supporting the academic and personal growth of diverse learnersBachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (Master’s degree preferred)Knowledge of inclusive teaching practices and strategiesFamiliarity with the International Baccalaureate (IB) or similar educational frameworks is a plusProficiency in English; additional knowledge of Polish is advantageous
