The role is responsible for collecting on delinquencies while at the same time reinforcing American Airlines Credit Union’s mission of member advocacy.What You'll DoPerform collections on consumer loans, credit cards, negative shares, mortgage loans, and controlling losses to the Credit UnionRefer loans for charge-offs for management reviewUpdate member address informationPerform skip tracing and payment transfersSend appropriate collection correspondenceFollow up on payment arrangements and broken promises to payCreate and maintain detailed collection documentation of all accounts workedAssist on IVR/ACD and Dialer, when requestedReview all credit and loan documents as well as membership cardsReview credit bureau reportsPerform other duties as assignedThe selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security and confidentiality of all account and related information which is part of their work and for ensuring that his/her work is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act.All you'll need for successMinimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience High School diploma or GED equivalentPreferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience Bachelor's degree in Business or equivalent relevant field or equivalent relevant industry experienceExperience in a financial/banking institutions with a working knowledge of the different productsKnowledge of FDCPA and the Texas ActSkills, Licenses & CertificationsSkilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) gained through either work experience with the software or education and hands-on use of the softwareSkilled in excellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to interact professionally with all organizational levels, both verbally and writtenAbility to work independently and with minimal supervisionSkilled in effective time management skills and proficiency while handling multiple projects/tasksAbility to maintain satisfactory performance and attendanceAbility to pass applicable American Airlines and Credit Union pre-hire compliance checksWhat You'll GetFeel free to take advantage of all that American Airlines has to offer:Travel Perks: Ready to explore the world?
