We invite you to join our team and help us reach our campaign goal.Position SummaryThis is a full-time hybrid position located at NYP’s Midtown Manhattan Corporate Offices. The Specialist, Development Communications is a communications professional who oversees and executes the production of digital and print communication messaging and collateral mainly related to Development Events at NYP. Reporting directly to the Director of Communications and Donor Engagement, you will be an integral member of the Development Communications team within the Office of Development. In this role, you will work closely with colleagues across the department, especially with fundraisers and events professionals. With exceptional attention to detail, you will create, test, and deploy registration pages and digital collateral like save-the-dates, invitations, and follow ups. You will work in Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Classy, among other platforms. Recommends and oversee best practice systems and processes for the collateral lifespan; employs analytics and data for making evidence-based decisions and analyzing effectiveness/success.Essential Job DutiesResponsible for creating, testing, and deploying Events registration pages and digital collateral like save the dates, invitations, and follow ups using Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Classy.Proofreads, tracks, and updates information in the collateral to ensure accuracy and consistency with NYP policy.Ensures the appropriate and timely review and approvals of material.May also be responsible for one of the following group tasks as appropriate: draft brochures, speaking points, newsletter articles, programs, and other promotional pieces to support fundraising at NYP.Responsive to last-minute changes and quick turnarounds.Collaborates in a professional manner within DevComm and closely with Events team and Frontline fundraisers.May work with outside vendors as necessary.Performs other special projects and duties as assigned.Required CriteriaA bachelor’s degree and at least 3-5 years of communications experience with proven success in a non-profit setting preferred.Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.Excellent people skills, including strong written and communication skills.Driven to meet and exceed goals, with the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain a high level of productivity.Proficiency with Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Classy, as well as comfort with Excel, Microsoft Office tools, and ability to learn new technologies and systems as needed .Demonstrated ability to navigate within a fast-paced highly complex organization. emphasizing teamwork, respect, and excellence.Project management experience a plus.“Requires 4 days on-site presence; therefore, should live within a commutable distance.
