Part-Time - 20 hours per week$23. 50-$29. 10Titahi Bay locationWe currently have roles with our children's respite house at Spectrum Care covering early mornings, after school, evenings and weekends. We're looking for team members to help kids and teenagers with intellectual disabilities to feel safe and have fun while staying at our respite house in Titahi Bay. You will need to know how to liven things up, and calm things down, to notice how children are feeling, and to provide them with guidance, comfort or support as needed. You will need to be vigilant, warm, and creative.
Additionally, as the children have a vast range of communication styles, an ability or interest in learning to find effective ways to communicate is very much preferred.

Have worked in the care workforce for 24 months or more, and been paid at least the care workforce wage rate during that time, or,a relevant qualification on the New Zealand Qualifications and Credentials Framework (NZQCF) — this must be at least a level 4 qualification for a role at skill level 3, or a diploma for a role at skill level 2.
