Their multidisciplinary teams work collaboratively to improve health outcomes and promote wellbeing across the lifespan.BRAMS is proud to operate under the vision: Healthy People – Strong Community – Bright Future, and upholds a model of care rooted in cultural respect, quality, and community leadership.Your Next Chapter Starts HereBRAMS is seeking a full-time Speech Pathologist, based in Broome, WA, to deliver evidence-based assessment, diagnosis, and therapy services to children, adults, and older people with communication, language, swallowing, feeding, and cognitive-communication disorders.This role works across BRAMS’ Aged Care, NDIS, and Primary Health Care programs and provides both clinic-based and community-based services. The position contributes to multidisciplinary care planning, clinical education, and service improvement, ensuring all services are person-centred, safe, and culturally responsive.Key responsibilities include:Providing independent assessment, diagnosis, and management of communication, language, swallowing, feeding, cognitive-communication, and respiratory disorders.Developing and implementing mealtime management plans in collaboration with consumers, carers, and clinical staff.Delivering individual and group therapy programs addressing speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing difficulties.Supporting consumers and families through education and training about communication strategies and swallowing safety.Participating in multidisciplinary care planning, goal setting, and discharge planning to support coordinated, holistic care.Managing a clinical caseload across multiple programs, maintaining appropriate prioritisation and timely follow-up.Contributing to service evaluation, continuous improvement initiatives, and culturally relevant education materials.Is This You?The successful candidate will hold a tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology and be recognised as a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist (CPSP) through Speech Pathology Australia, or be eligible to obtain certification prior to commencement.You’ll demonstrate:Experience in the assessment and management of communication, swallowing, feeding, and cognitive-communication disorders.Proven ability to deliver culturally safe, person-centred, and evidence-based care.Experience in mealtime assessment, planning, and risk management.Strong communication, documentation, and organisational skills.A commitment to continuous professional development, reflective practice, and quality improvement.You’ll also bring personal qualities that align with BRAMS’ values:Compassion, respect, and motivation to learn from others.Reliability, organisation, and proactive skill development.A collaborative and positive approach that supports a culturally safe workplace.Experience within an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation or community health setting, along with an understanding of Aboriginal culture, values, and the social determinants of health, will be highly regarded.Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are strongly encouraged to apply.If you’re an early-career professional, BRAMS is also recruiting for a Graduate Speech Pathologist.What’s in It for YouBRAMS offers a competitive salary of $120,000 - $125,000 + Super, along with a supportive and inclusive work environment and a host of generous benefits, including:6 weeks of Annual Leave to support work-life balanceRelocation allowance (up to $5,000)$1,300 Annual Remote Area AllowanceSalary packaging to maximise take-home payStudy leave and access to ongoing professional developmentOngoing professional development opportunitiesAccess to clinical and management supervision contractsFree access to primary health, dental, and allied health services through BRAMSA meaningful role in one of Australia’s most culturally rich and visually stunning regionsThis is an incredibly rare opportunity to join a well-established and supported Aboriginal Medical Service in a pivotal allied health role.
