This is a high-impact role supporting dry bulk operations across Capesize, Panamax, Supramax, and Handysize segments. You’ll be the key interface between commercial and operational execution, ensuring smooth, safe, and cost-effective voyages from pre- to post-fixture. Support charter party negotiations and ensure contract alignment with FOB/CFR/CIF termsDevelop voyage instructions and coordinate with charterers, agents, and vessel mastersPrepare and review documents such as Charter Parties, Bills of Lading, and voyage ordersHandle dispute resolution and legal coordination with P&I clubs, insurance, and legal teamsOversee sanctions compliance, vessel tracking, and operational risk protocolsPost-Fixture: Monitor loading/discharge and ensure timely voyage executionCalculate, negotiate, and settle laytime claimsIssue and verify voyage-related documents (e. g. , B/Ls, Mate’s Receipts, LOIs)Manage freight payments, voyage cost controls, and reconciliationsCross-Functional:
Provide market intelligence and data-driven insights to support commercial teamsOccasional travel to vessels or ports as requiredWhat We’re Looking For5+ years of shipping operations experience, ideally within a global shipping or commodity trading environmentStrong working knowledge of maritime law, BIMCO practices, and INCO termsDegree-qualified in Business, Maritime Studies, or related fieldConfident communicator and stakeholder manager across cultures and time zonesTech-savvy, commercially aware, and capable of taking ownership in a fast-paced settingThis is an exceptional opportunity to play a central role in global dry bulk operations and be part of an ambitious, high-performing team.
