Job Description

DescriptionWe are seeking a highly motivated and intellectually curious Corporate Development Analyst to join our team. This is a unique opportunity for an early-career professional to gain hands-on experience across the full M&A lifecycle, from sourcing to integration. The Analyst will work closely with senior leadership and will play a key role in market outreach, financial analysis, valuation, deal structuring, and strategic decision support. This is an ideal role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and is looking to build a foundation in private equity, M&A, and corporate strategy.

The role is based in Austin, TX, and follows a hybrid schedule of 4 days in-office and 1 day remote per week. RequirementsDeal Sourcing & OutreachConduct research to identify acquisition targets in priority marketsExecute outbound calling and email campaigns to engage business ownersTrack and manage pipeline activity within the CRM (e. g.

, Pipedrive)Support preparation of outreach materials and company presentationsFinancial Analysis & ValuationAnalyze seller financials including P&Ls, balance sheets, and customer dataBuild and maintain financial models to evaluate potential transactionsPerform sensitivity analyses and assess key valuation driversAssist in preparing investment memos for internal and external stakeholdersTransaction Execution & Deal StructuringSupport due diligence efforts in coordination with internal and external teamsAssist in the drafting and review of LOIs and other transaction documentsTrack key deal terms, risks, and milestones across active dealsHelp negotiate terms with sellers and intermediaries under guidancePipeline Tracking & Project ManagementMaintain real-time visibility into the M&A pipeline, ensuring data accuracy and consistency across tools and reportsMonitor deal statuses, key deadlines, and next steps to help keep the Corporate Development team aligned and accountableAssist in preparing weekly pipeline reviews, reports, and updates for internal stakeholdersGain exposure to project management best practices as part of deal execution and integration planningStrategic & Ad Hoc SupportPerform market mapping and industry analysis for expansion planningDevelop board-facing materials and dashboards on M&A activityContribute to integration planning and performance tracking of acquired companiesSupport special projects and analytical workstreams as neededQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field0–2 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, consulting, or a relevant operating company; internships includedStrong financial modeling and Excel skillsExceptional communication skills, both verbal and writtenHigh degree of professionalism and comfort interacting with business owners and executivesSelf-starter with strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple prioritiesDemonstrated interest in M&A, private equity, or entrepreneurship is highly desirableLet's elevate the pool care industry, together.
