Graco is part of your daily life.In this role the Senior Accountant at Graco K.K. is responsible to perform overall general accounting, credit duties, demo and loan inventory of fixed assets, tax return filings, periodic closing for month end, quarter and assistance with year-end activities and GL for Graco Japan entity including Gema Japan under the supervision of the Accounting Manager.What You Will Do At Graco Recognize revenue in compliance with accounting principles Communicate smoothly and properly with the counterparts in the overseas affiliates and ensure balance reconciliation Performing complex accounting activities such as account reconciliation and preparation of journal entries in accordance with GAAP and SOX; may include tax accounting activities and ensuring accuracy and orderly accounting records for preparing meaningful reports Prepares and maintains ledger accounts and related activities for the production of financial statements and fiscal reports. Performs A/R function including cash application Meet all accounting and reporting deadlines Oversee financial compliance and lead accounting processes Responsible for general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and fixed assets of GEMA division Manage and execute monthly, quarterly and yearly closing in Japan statutory accounting and US GAAP Prepare accurate financial statements in line with Graco accounting policies Perform GL accounts reconciliation with the analysis of balance sheet items Maintain accurate cost of goods sold, fixed assets sub-ledger and lease accounting Execute manual journal entries for deferrals, allowances and provisions Coordinate intercompany financial transactions Prepares the customer credit analysis and establishes controls to mitigate business risks Interface with Japan and global GEMA division on financial topics Assist with Accounting Manager to prepare annual budget and forecast Assist with corporate, internal and external audits Assist with income tax return, consumption tax return and other tax report works Daily process improvement Fulfill any of the tasks assigned by Accounting ManagerWhat You Will Bring To GracoBachelor’s degree or above 5 years + finance and accounting experience In-depth and hands-on consolidations and international accounting experience in medium-to-large organizations Understanding of general ledgers, their role and operation Excellent knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles. Proficiency in operating PC as well as MS Excel Native level Japanese, business level written and verbal English Experience with global ERP system Accelerators Global company experience Oracle operating systems are a plusStrong interpersonal communication skills and teamwork consciousnessAbility to work with integrity and maintain absolute confidentialitySelf-starter, inquisitive and initiative in learning and challengesAt Graco, you truly make a difference.
