Job Description

JOB SUMMARYThe Accounting and Finance Manager responsibilities include managing the relationship with third party accounting firm, maintaining financial records and reports, performing account reconciliations, assisting with budget and close processes, conducting internal audits, supporting General Managers, maintaining accounts payable documentation, as well as assisting with monthly financial statements and reporting.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESAccounting & Payroll•        Partner with third-party accounting firm to problem-solve questions, provide oversight, and manage that relationship.•        Review and reconcile period-end closing process, address outstanding issues, and assist in preparation of results for management; identify opportunities to refine and streamline processes.•        Oversee the preparation and review of year-end books with third-party accounting firm; manage external CPA audit and support year-end tax return preparation.•        Research questions or discrepancies from General Managers related to accounting, vendor payments, etc.; process vendor payments and check requests.•        Process employee reimbursements, manage employee credit card charges, and reconcile credit card accounts.•        Respond to inquiries from internal teams regarding budgets, deposits, disbursement, and reporting requests.•        Oversee payroll processing to ensure accuracy, timely submission, and compliance with company policies and regulations.•        Oversee Payroll Accountant, ensuring proper payroll documentation, reconciliations, and reporting.•        Continuously improve accounting and payroll processes, systems, and documentation in order to scale operations and automate manual procedures.•        Assist management with special projects and analyses on an ad-hoc basis.Financial Planning & Analysis ·        Prepare and maintain timely and detailed reports on all financial performance on weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting and financial reporting.·        Prepare and maintain cash flow analyses as needed.·        Analyze monthly financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flows) and effectively convey analysis to executives.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCEBachelor’s degree in accounting or other related fields.4 to 7 years’ experience in Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis, or Business AnalysisMulti-unit restaurant or retail industry experience is preferred, but not required.SKILLS & ABILITIESExpertise in MS Excel, Quickbooks, and R365Comfortable working with a variety of data sources, ability to ascertain trends and information from incomplete data.Experience building and maintaining financial plans, forecasts and/or business models in a corporate environment.Excellent quantitative and analytical skills; attention to detail; problem solving abilities.Ability to manage multiple priorities at once and shift priorities seamlessly.Positive attitude, proactive approach to problem solving.Salary Range: $85,000-$110,000.00
