Sr Buyer MRO

Nexos TRC is looking for a Sr Buyer MRO for a World Class manufacturing company located in Torreon, Coahuila.Academic Background: Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.Professional Experience: · Minimum 5 years of experience in indirect procurement and industrial project management. · Proven experience in categories such as MRO, Facilities, Construction, Machining, CAPEX, Human Resources Services, and Electronic Spare Parts.· Experience in negotiation, contract management, and relationships with national and international suppliers.Technical Skills:· Proficiency in ERP systems (preferably Oracle).· Proficiency in tools such as MS Project, Power BI, and advanced Excel.· Advanced English (essential for interaction with global teams).· Knowledge of quality systems and continuous improvement methodologies.Key Competencies:· Leadership and coordination of multidisciplinary teams.· Effective communication, both oral and written.· Strategic thinking and results-oriented.· Analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.· Proactivity, autonomy, and a focus on meeting deadlines. Main Functions and Responsibilities:· Design and implement sourcing strategies for indirect categories, ensuring efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery.· Manage capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects, including the acquisition of machinery, tools, and infrastructure.· Coordinate plant expansion, construction, and equipment installation projects.· Collaborate with internal departments such as Engineering, Operations, Human Resources, and Finance to align requirements and purchasing strategies.· Negotiate contracts, evaluate supplier performance, and lead continuous improvement initiatives.· Analyze spending data to identify opportunities for savings, supplier consolidation, and reduction of total cost of ownership.· Prepare executive reports and progress presentations for local and international stakeholders.
