Together with our employees we constantly strive to create a better world of mobility.Job ResponsibilitiesObjectives of the Job:The core objective of this position is to design and develop IP/CC Systems including IP (Instrument Panel), CC (Center Console), and CCB (Cross-car Beam) (refer as “IP&Cnsl” below) with guidance from concept to launch in a cross-functional team. Engineer has the capability to work with guidance from Module Leader or Group Leader to design and develop systems and components of IP/CC, deliver project results on-time and of high-quality to get acceptance from project lead and customer.Main DutiesRepresent product engineering on activities including communication for the cross-functional team of product design and development, complete vehicle architecture and attribute, weight and cost engineering, testing and validation, after-market engineering, purchase, quality, manufacturing, logistics, shops in plant, etc. Develop IP/CC to meet functional and performance targets by means of typical sections, material selection, process feasibility evaluation, dimension and tolerance, kinematics analysis, functional oriented analysis, interface analysis and alignment, etc., and support engineering statements with explanatory experiences, benchmarking references, and objective data. Generate 3D CAD data and 2D drawings with CAD software, CATIA or NX. Deliver project documentation / deliverables at each milestone. Work with guidance on problem-solving for engineering / product issues in prototyping, testing and validation, and production launch. To conflicts of goals and objectives, develop with guidance on potential solutions for decision-making. Interface and manage component suppliers on technical and product activities for in-time delivery of components to the required technical specification. Handle engineering changes during validation and launch phase. Track issues and provide status reports on a regular basis. Escalate technical / project / organization issues in a timely manner not to jeopardize project execution. Perform other engineering tasks as required by Module Leader / Group Leader.QualificationCandidate must have three or more years of IP/CC relevant experience. Must have 2 type of CCB( Magnesium-aluminum alloy and metal ) design and develop experience. Engineering degree in Automotive engineering, Mechanical engineering, Industrial engineering, etc. Proficient in oral and written English. Proficient in CATIA V5, Team Center and Microsoft Office Suite. General understanding for the commodities to be developed. General understanding of vehicle engineering topics (e.g., mechanics, mechatronic, material, strength and stiffness, durability, functional safety) General knowledge of manufacturing processes (e.g., stamping, molding and other fabrication methods; welding and other joining methods; painting; and general assembling) General understanding of quality management and quality tools. Good understanding of project management principles and best practices General understanding of vehicle development processes. General soft skills in communication, leadership, conflict resolution, moderation and presentation.
