SUMMARY The Sr. Field Service Engineer will provide knowledge of and conduct work activities in compliance with the CLOOS-HSE (Health, Safety and Environment), CLOOS standards, Manual and Safety policy at all times. Be responsible for hands on execution of projects including Startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, engineering and repair of CLOOS robot solutions developed for the automation of industrial processes with high standards of performance and reliability (handling and welding) including but not limited to systems with gripping accessories and MIG/MAG/TIG welding technology. Robot systems integrated with a base of PAC (Programmable Automation Controller) platforms, and in a lower-level human-machine interfaces (HMI), and distributed control systems among others. Therefore, there should be troubleshooting software, electrical control cabinets, electronic circuit boards and communication networks independently and autonomously using research tools and consultation with specialists. You should also be self-taught on topics that move away from your domain or experience. A big part of this job is to support customer´s applications and provide aid in the solution and troubleshooting of issues on-site that demand to have the availability to travel and spend time out of the residence city for extended periods. Then, you must be able to work without direct supervision and possess good customer service skills with the understanding that your interaction with our customers is a reflection on our Company. (Mainly in Mexico, and occasionally in the USA).Carry out startups and commissioning of CLOOS robotic welding equipment.Troubleshoot, repair, reprogram, maintain of CLOOS equipment of the customer installed base. (new or used CLOOS equipment).Preventative maintenance on CLOOS robotic welding equipment either in-house or at customer facilities.Identify and resolve electrical and software problems in the field by working with project managers, engineering, and customers to coordinate safety lockouts, machine requirements, and specifications.Preventative maintenance on CLOOS robotic welding equipment either in-house or at customer facilities.Carry out internal technical training, as well as for end customers.Document procedures, manuals and service reports with order and discipline.Completes detailed service reports and expense reports accurately and in a timely mannerOffer on-site production support to reduce production downtime and eliminate failures in automation systemsSupport development and implement new projects that will require some level of automation or interaction of the CLOOS equipment with the customer’s automated equipment.Perform administrative functions in a timely manner that are associated with your work, such as writing technical reports, ordering necessary materials, securing quotations, preparing job status reports, reports to customers, time sheets, expense tracking sheets, and cost control activities.Exercise good judgment in controlling costs and expenditures of company funds. Protect the company's capital investments by properly safeguarding and maintaining that equipment for which responsible.Work directly with customers and CLOOS sales or service team to identify new service opportunities, develop proposals, and execute work scope.In-house assembly and testing of new and used CLOOS equipment.In-house customer service and/or support via telephone and e-mail.Intermediate to advanced robotic welding system programming.Promote safe behaviorAll other duties as assigned POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Education: Mechatronic, or Electrical Bachelor’s degree preferred5+ years’ experience in the field of robotics. (preferably CLOOS, KUKA, FANUC brands)Demonstrated ability to build strong interpersonal and customer service skillsFluent English in conversational and written.Computer skills including MS Office (Outlook, Excel and Word, Power Point)Valid US-Visa and Passport. Experience / Abilities:Intermediate knowledge(+3years), in servicing hydraulic and/or pneumatic systems laser vision is advantageous.Intermediate knowledge(+3years), in servicing and/or programming handling robots for loading/unloading applications (ABB, Kuka, Fanuc, Yaskawa, etc).Intermediate knowledge(+3years), in servicing heavy fabrication industries (i.e. Material Handling equipment, Earth Moving, Agriculture)Highly organized.Ability and willingness to travel approximately 70 percent as requiredAbility to lift up to 70 pounds without aid.  Complementary knowledge (as plus)Welding experience with robots and manual equipment on MIG & TIG processes. Basic metallurgy and welding knowledge.Programming of welding robots of CLOOS robots or other brands, automation of light curtains, scanners, mechanical fixture knowledge, pneumatics and hydraulics.SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:·        Adherence to the safety policy.
