This role will partner closely with Leaderships across operating expense functions—to provide financial insights, reporting, and decision support. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of balancing day-to-day financial operations with strategic business partnership.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Planning & AnalysisLead forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning processes for operating expense functions.Collaborate with business partners to develop accurate operating expense forecasts and identify cost optimization opportunities.Provide variance analysis (actuals vs. budget/forecast) with clear explanations of business drivers.Support workforce planning and headcount tracking in partnership with HR and business leaders.Month-End Close & ReportingOwn the month-end close process for assigned expense functions, including accruals, reclasses, and journal entries in partnership with Accounting.Prepare and deliver monthly financial reporting packages for leaders and executive stakeholders.Maintain accuracy and integrity of financial results in alignment with company policies and GAAP.Business Partnership & Decision SupportAct as a trusted advisor to leadership, translating financial data into actionable insights.Develop financial models and scenario analyses to evaluate business initiatives, vendor spend, and investment opportunities.Support cross-functional projects, such as cost efficiency initiatives, systems implementations, and process improvements.Continuous ImprovementStreamline and automate reporting, forecasting, and planning tools.Identify opportunities for process efficiency and controls enhancement across teams.Contribute to building a scalable FP&A function that supports business growth.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA a plus.5–8+ years of progressive finance or FP&A experience, preferably supporting operations or corporate functions.Strong knowledge of financial modeling, forecasting, and reporting.Experience with ERP and planning/reporting tools (e.g., Oracle, SAP, EPM, Workday, Adaptive Insights, Anaplan).Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) preferred.Excellent communication and business partnership skills; ability to influence and support senior leaders.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a high attention to detail.Supporting a diverse and inclusive workforce is important to Shutterfly not only because it directly reflects our value of Embracing our Differences, but also because it’s the right thing to do for our business and for our people.
