Sr. Fund AccountantETONIEN is sourcing for a dynamic and hands-on Senior level Fund Accountant to support our fund and management company client in the South Bay/Silicon Beach (Los Angeles county) area.The ideal professional will have 4+ years of investment industry experience, a strong understanding of fund accounting processes and previous experience with a fund. If this description of technical skills and educational background match your skillset and expertise, we encourage you to apply.Reports To: Vice President of FinanceAbout The RoleIndividual contributor supporting fund and management company accounting, reporting, tax coordination, and basic compliance. Reports to the VP of Finance with regular interaction with the managing partners. Clear path to increased ownership of processes and vendors and potential growth into a more senior role over time.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport relationship management with fund administrators, tax advisors, auditors, and internal deal teamsHelp meet monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting deadlines for funds and the management companyAssist with new fund and vehicle launches from a finance and reporting perspectiveAssist with quarterly reporting packages for limited partners and internal stakeholdersHelp review compliance reporting and support monitoring of debt facilitiesAssist in reviewing quarterly and annual GAAP financial statements and disclosures for fundsSupport review and calculation of management and performance feesAssist with regulatory and compliance-related filings as neededHelp review cash flow projections and support daily cash managementRespond to ad hoc information and analysis requests from internal teams and investorsCompile and review information for tax advisors for estimates, extensions, and returnsHelp monitor fund expense budgets and payments for accuracy and appropriatenessAssist in managing the corporate card expense review and approval processRequirementsApproximately 1-4 years of public accounting experience; Big 4 or large national firm strongly preferredMeaningful tax experience with private equity funds, hedge funds, or other alternative investment vehicles strongly preferredExperience in fund accounting or portfolio reporting (fund administrator or asset manager) is a plusCPA preferred (or progress toward certification)Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and basic partnership/fund tax conceptsStrong Excel skills; solid Word and PowerPoint skillsAbility to work on-site 4-5 days per weekComfortable in a lean, fast-paced environment with changing prioritiesStrong attention to detail, follow-through, and documentation habitsClear written and verbal communication; able to interact professionally with senior leadership and external providersHigh standards for accuracy and quality; strong ethics and integrityWork AuthorizationLegally authorized to work in the United StatesU.S. citizen or permanent residentNo visa sponsorship availableWide range of factors are considered in making compensation decisions. Exact compensation may vary based on factors including skills, experience, certification, license and location.
