Job DescriptionAs a Senior HSE Engineer here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for overseeing and directing the organization's health, safety, and environmental engineering efforts. You will ensure the highest standards of health and safety for employees, compliance with environmental regulations, and the implementation of best practices in engineering-related safety.You will report directly to our HSE Manager and you’ll work out of our Cheonan, Korea location on a Hybrid work schedule.In this role, you will impact our organization by overseeing the development and implementation of health, safety, and environmental programs that ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards. Your ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders will ensure that HSE considerations are integrated into business processes and decision-making, contributing to the overall success and reputation of our business as a responsible and sustainable organization.Key Responsibilities Facilitate HSE Cultural Change: Lead efforts to improve HSE awareness and reduce injuries, illness, and environmental impact by providing a strong example of HSE leadership presence across operational sites. Build and Maintain Relationships: Develop strong working relationships with managers, site operational staff, and external partners to promote the HSE Management System and communicate the benefits of a planned and documented approach to health and safety. Strategic HSE Planning: Participate in the development and implementation of strategic health, safety, and environment annual plans and budgets, including actions required to maintain HSE Certification to ISO45001 and ISO14001. Expert Advice: Provide expert advice and assistance on work health and safety strategies, programs, systems, policies, standards, and processes, including changes in legislation and legal requirements. Risk Management: Facilitate the development and maintenance of Risk Registers, listing identified hazards, safety issues, risk levels, and controls implemented to manage risks. Training: Design and deliver health and safety training, arrange safety training courses, and ensure appropriate records are maintained. Safety Oversight: Develop schedules for workplace site observations, formal inspections, audits, and risk assessments in collaboration with risk control owners. Incident Investigation: Conduct structured investigations and analysis of incidents, identify system causes, and develop evidence-based recommendations to improve systems and prevent recurrence. Regulatory Liaison: Act as liaison with workplace health and safety regulators and environment regulators, accompany them during inspections, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Committee Representation: Ensure representation at safety committee meetings and effective safety consultation is incorporated into policies and practices. Contractor Management: Manage sub-contractors, conduct fatigue and ergonomic risk assessments, and ensure compliance with customer and Honeywell HSE requirements. Continuous Improvement: Contribute to global HSE Centre of Excellence projects, participate in contract risk reviews, and assist in the development and review of safety management plans. Audit and Compliance: Audit managed facilities to ensure compliance with statutory and corporate requirements and approved risk management practices. Reporting: Deliver high-quality reports and presentations to influence and drive a culture of safety within the organization.
