Chaity Group is looking for Sr. Merchandiser (Marketing & Costing)Job Description / Responsibility1. Marketing & Buyer CommunicationDevelop and maintain relationships with existing and new buyers.Identify new business opportunities and develop marketing strategies.Handle buyer inquiries, send quotations, and negotiate prices.Coordinate product development, sampling, and approvals.Prepare presentation boards and costing sheets for buyer meetings.2. Costing & PricingPrepare detailed cost breakdowns considering fabric, trims, accessories, CM, overhead, and profit margins.Evaluate supplier quotations and ensure competitive pricing.Negotiate with suppliers and sub-contractors to achieve cost targets.Monitor market trends and material price fluctuations.3. Order ManagementFollow up on order confirmation, production, and shipment schedules.Coordinate with production, quality, and logistics teams for on-time delivery.Ensure compliance with buyer quality standards and production requirements.Handle T&A (Time and Action Plan) to ensure deadlines are met.4. Product DevelopmentWork closely with design and sampling teams for new style developments.Source suitable fabrics, trims, and accessories.Review samples, comments, and ensure buyer satisfaction.5. Reporting & AnalysisMaintain accurate data of orders, costs, and profitability.Prepare regular reports on marketing, costing, and order status.Analyze past orders to identify cost-saving or process improvement opportunities.Educational RequirementsBachelor of Science (BSc) in Textile EngineeringSkills Required: Merchandising, Costing MerchandisingExperience RequirementsAt least 5 year(s)The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):Garments,Textile,Garments AccessoriesAdditional RequirementsMinimum 5 years of experience in merchandising (preferably in knit garments).Strong knowledge of garment costing, fabrics, trims, and production processes.Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English.Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP, and other merchandising tools.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Job LocationNarayanganj (Sonargaon)SalaryTk. 60000 - 120000 (Monthly)
