This is a 100% remote role open to candidates based in Latin America. Statistical Analysis: Perform sophisticated statistical modeling to uncover insights from complex datasets. Data Management: Design and maintain efficient data pipelines, ensuring high data integrity and performance. Application Development: Write, test, and deploy clean, efficient R code for analysis, visualization, and reporting. Mentorship: Guide junior developers, foster a culture of collaboration, and promote best practices. Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, business analysts, and stakeholders to design tailored solutions. Code Quality: Conduct peer code reviews and ensure alignment with development standards. Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of code, methodologies, and workflows. Innovation: Stay current with the latest in R/Shiny and data science trends to drive continuous improvement. Required Qualifications Experience: 5+ years of professional experience with R, including building Shiny applications. Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related field. Technical Skills:Advanced proficiency in R and core packages (e.g., dplyr, ggplot2, tidyr, etc.). Strong understanding of statistical modeling and data analysis. Experience with version control (Git) and SQL. Familiarity with additional languages like Python is a plus. Soft Skills:Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly. Comfortable working in fast-paced environments and juggling multiple projects. Preferred QualificationsExperience working with big data tools (Hadoop, Spark) through R/Python. Familiarity with machine learning techniques and tools.
