We co-innovate and deliver ingredient solutions and precision premixes for use in the mainstream food and beverage, infant and clinical, and functional nutrition markets.We are hiring a Senior Sales Manager who will be responsible for driving effective sales growth and managing relationships with large strategic customers across the East Coast and Midwest regions of the United States, with most accounts located between Ohio, New Jersey, and Florida. This role focuses on both the maintenance of existing customer accounts and the development of new business opportunities:Drive new business growth using a proactive approach—identifying, targeting, and converting high‑value prospects within the East Coast and Midwest bakery and nutrition markets.Develop and expand strategic customer relationships, strengthening Glanbia’s position with both existing and newly acquired accounts.Consistently build a strong sales pipeline through lead generation, networking, industry events, and market research.Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring customer needs are understood and met through innovative solutions and best‑in‑class products. Ensure all aspects of customer care from original with customer to order shipment and ensuring or managing any issue that may ariseCollaborate with internal teams (R&D, marketing, operations) to support customer projects, troubleshoot technical issues, and present value‑added solutions—especially within bakery applications.Travel to customers for face-to-face meetings to promote new products, enhance customer relationship, conduct innovation sessions with Product Management, address any product queries and ensure we are selling all materials and services we can offer.Track monthly sales & profit to ensure that no business is lost due to competitive pricing, availability, lead times or any other problems encountered by our customers with relation to dealing with Glanbia IngredientsForecast business for all categories to the best of your knowledge in JDA forecasting systemFollow through on all leads via phone, email or personal visitsStay current with latest industry news and trends by involvement in industry events, tradeshows, social outings, seminars, memberships in industry organizations and magazine subscriptionsShare knowledge gained regarding competition, leads, product development and potential new opportunitiesEffectively capture product, customer and related sales activity, related to our exclusive distribution agreements, in CRM, allowing procurement to effectively communicate required information to our distribution partnersReport sales activity through completion of call reports and regular contact with managerExperience and Education:Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Food/Nutrition Science or Sales & Marketing with Technical background or equivalent.10 years progressive and proven sales experience, preferably in Premix solutions & specialty proteins or bakeryProficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and SAPDomestic travel required for shows and sales meetings (approx. 50%)The Senior Sales Manager builds and sustains strong customer relationships by delivering outstanding service, understanding customer needs, and offering best‑in‑industry nutrition products that support Glanbia’s profitability goals. The ideal candidate will bring bakery application knowledge, enabling them to better support customers in the bakery sector with technical insight and solution‑based selling.Our protein systems have transformed the bar and beverage categories — bringing increased levels of protein, cleaner labels and greater product functionality to market. We have a direct presence in 21 countries, with manufacturing facilities in the US, Germany and China, and international sales and technical offices around the world.
