You’ll own the system at scale, lead platforms, ship automation (IaC/CI-CD), and improve reliability & performance. With a dense edge footprint in EMEA and globally, we deliver low latency, high availability, and enterprise-grade security for leading brands—supported by 24/7 Network Operations Center, ISO 27001 practices, and GDPR-ready operations.Why this role mattersYou will lead the platform technically—owning system at scale, driving automation-first operations, and improving reliability, performance, and cost across systems and services.What you’ll doLead the platform: Define and evolve systems architecture, reliability patterns, and operational standards for CDN/Security/Streaming stacks.Own Linux at scale: Install, optimize, harden, and upgrade RHEL/CentOS-family; kernel/network tuning for high-throughput workloads.Automate: Ship IaC (Terraform/Ansible), CI/CD pipelines, and self-healing runbooks; reduce toil and MTTR.Reliability & performance: SLO/SLA-driven ops; CPU/Mem/IO bottleneck analysis; capacity planning.Traffic & security surface: DNS, L4/L7 load balancing, TLS/SSL lifecycle; Nginx ops at scale.Observability: Operate/extend monitoring and alerting; build actionable dashboards and error budgets.Platform services: Virtualization (VMware/Xen), containers (Docker), and cloud/object storage operations.Cross-functional delivery: Partner with Product/Security/Network to land safe, measurable improvements.Must-havesBSc in CS or related; 5+ years in enterprise Linux environments.Strong English (written & spoken).Deep RHEL/CentOS; kernel/network tuning for web scale.DNS + load balancing; Nginx & TLS/SSL operations.One or more monitoring stacks (PRTG/Prometheus/Zabbix/etc.).Configuration & orchestration (Ansible/Puppet/Salt/Terraform).Virtualization (VMware/Xen) and distributed/cloud concepts.Scripting/coding for automation (Bash + one of Python/Go).Nice-to-havesCDN/Streaming familiarity; datacenter operations.Docker/Kubernetes runtime ops; cloud/object storage.SRE practices (SLOs, error budgets) and incident management.Soft skills we valueOwnership & systems thinking: long-term reliability, operability, and cost.Communication: clear designs/runbooks; crisp incident comms in English.Bias to action: iterative delivery with measurable impact.Knowledge sharing: document patterns and uplift peers.
