Sr. Tableau Developer

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Visualization Engineer to provide development and frontline support in Tableau. This role is critical in ensuring teams can effectively utilize Tableau to access and analyze data, driving informed decision-making across the organization.This position requires a strong understanding of data visualization principles, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a passion for helping others.Responsibilities:· Development: Understand business requirements, design and build effective and impactful Tableau dashboards.· Frontline Support: Provide timely and effective technical support to end-users for Tableau, addressing issues related to data connectivity, report creation, dashboard functionality, and access permissions.· Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical problems, escalating complex issues to senior engineers as needed.· Training & Documentation: Develop and deliver training materials (e.g., quick start guides, FAQs, video tutorials) to empower users to effectively utilize Tableau. Conduct training sessions for new users and provide ongoing support for existing users.· Knowledge Base Management: Maintain and update a comprehensive knowledge base of common issues, solutions, and best practices related to Qlik, Power BI, and Phocas.· User Advocacy: Act as a liaison between business users and the development team, communicating user feedback and advocating for improvements to the visualization platforms.· Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams (e.g., data engineering, infrastructure) to ensure seamless integration of the visualization platforms with other systems.· Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest features and functionalities of Qlik, Power BI, and Phocas, and identify opportunities to improve the user experience.Qualifications:· Proven experience developing solutions in Tableau· Strong understanding of data visualization principles and best practices.· Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.· Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.· Strong customer service orientation and a passion for helping others.· Experience with data modeling and ETL processes is a plus.Nice to have:· Familiarity with SQL or other data query languages is a plus.· Experience with other BI tools is a plus.
