We have offices in Montreal (Quebec), Austin (Texas) and Nicosia (Cyprus).A select number of positions require full-time in office attendance*Our DevOps team is looking for a skilled Site Reliability Engineer to assist with the delivery and deployment of new features as well as monitoring regular operations of well-established sites with over 100 million daily unique users. Reporting to the Manager of DevOps you will be responsible for supporting and improving a production and development infrastructure for many development teams having complex and industry-leading methodologies and technologies. If deployments, monitoring & alerting, and/or operational support are your superpowers, we are looking for you!What You'll Be Doing:Design, implement, and maintain continuous integration/deployment CICD pipelines for both monolithic and service-based applicationsOptimize the infrastructure and configurations of various PHP-based web applications and web services including our flagship siteWork with caches, messaging queues, databases, and diverse in-house and third-party systemsSupport the development team by keeping their development, staging, and production environments running optimallyTake ownership of components and domain knowledge, help educate your peers, and participate in the development culture, processes, and values shared by the teamDocumenting your work and runbook creation of work procedures, incident handling, and system maintenance.Develop and maintain data visualization dashboards for monitoring, analytics, and reporting using Grafana.Collaborate with security teams to ensure that the systems are secure and compliant with industry standards and regulations such as NIST and PCI-DSS.What you’ll need to be successful: Must Haves3+ years relevant work experience as a backend software developer, DevOps engineer, or SREStrong command of Linux-based environmentsKnowledge of at least the fundamentals of networking and securityFamiliarity of software development principles including caching, queueing, scaling, building, and deployingKnowledge or experience with some of the following or similar: PHP, Python, MySQL, Nginx, HAProxy, RabbitMQ, Memcache, Redis, ELK, GitlabExperience in Orchestrating Micro services and multi-container applications.Docker/containers experience (containerizing applications, best practices, optimizing)A continuous-improvement mindsetNice To HavesBachelor of Software Engineering or Computer Science Experience working with GrafanaExperience with Kubernetes, Google Cloud Platform/Google Kubernetes EngineAs an equal opportunity employer, we celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employeesIn this role you may be exposed to adult content
