??The responsibility of the Flight Director is to plan and lead countdown activities for orbital, reusability and experimental sounding rocket operations. The position is within the Orbital Launch & Rocket Test Division, specializing in developing and operating brand-new capabilities at Esrange. ?YOUR ROLE?The tasks of the Flight Director center around launch operations. Since the operational concept is under development, the Flight Director will initially have a significant responsibility in defining and shaping the future operational environment.
?Lead the operational team during pre-launch, in-flight, and post-flight operations? Responsible for executing the launch countdown and giving the final go for launch? Develop the operational concept, plans and organization for various launch activities? Responsible for owning and developing the launch campaign process? Lead and mentor the operational team, ensuring continuous learning and development? Issue post-flight reports and integrate lessons learned in future campaigns? Who You Are?You are an experienced technical leader with a proven track record in working with launch operations. You should have a master's degree in a technical field.
A degree in aerospace engineering is preferred. You must be proficient in both Swedish and English, with strong verbal and written communication skills. Due to the nature of this role, physical presence at Esrange is mandatory and Swedish citizenship is preferred. ?We are looking for someone who has: ?Excellent technical leadership skills?
