Come join us— and let the world feel your work.We’re looking for a Staff Data Engineer to help us evolve the data experience at Epidemic Sound. As a senior contributor reporting to a VP of Engineering, you'll be instrumental in shaping the future of our data landscape. We're currently on a journey to build a new data platform and shifting to a modern, event-based ingestion that integrates with our microservice architecture. This is a pivotal role where you'll have significant influence on our technical direction.You'll act as a key technical leader, providing strategic guidance and hands-on contributions while mentoring engineers across the company. You will work closely with other senior leaders to define our technical roadmap and ensure we're raising the bar on data quality and engineering practices.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design and evolution of our new data platform architecture.Act as a partner to stakeholders across the company, translating user needs into performant data solutions.Mentor and inspire engineers, promoting best practices in data modeling and system design.Champion data maturity across the entire organization, helping teams to take ownership of their data.What We're Looking ForDeep experience in Data and Software Engineering, with a proven track record of leading complex technical projects.Experience with Event-Driven Architecture, BigQuery and DBT.Strong skills in system design and data architecture.
