About Our GroupOur test platform development team is under Characterization and Analysis Group (CAG) that provides test solutions to support design learnings at the transducer level to the Transducer Design teams. We work closely with CAG-US and transducer designers in MN, USA, and Springtown, UK.About The Role - You WillWork with Test Development and R&D Operation teams to develop, qualify, and deploy test applications and test tools (HW/SW) for design feedback and test process controlWork with Design and R&D Operation teams to conduct the magnetic recording experiments to characterize performance and reliability, perform data analysis of the expected performance in comparison with the results and present results to Recording Head Development teamsConceive and develop solutions to R&D Operation teams through the application of professionally accepted engineering techniques, practices and proceduresExercise independent judgement in methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining resultsAbout YouMS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mechatronics, or related fieldsMinimum 7 years of relevant experienceGood understanding of electromagnetics and electronicsInnovative and self-motivated worker who is driven by curiosityGood interpersonal, communication and presentation skillsAble to work and communicate effectively with a diverse group of engineersHave a good (can-do) attitude, willing to learn and take ownership of job responsibilityAble to effectively plan, control and take responsibility for group's resultsAble to prioritize multiple tasks, manage conflicting deadlines, and work effectively in a dynamic environmentFluent in English communication both spoken and writtenYour Experience IncludesProgramming languages (Python, C)Automated data collection and processing, and analysis of large datasetsUse of measurement equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, etc.) is preferableLocation:Home to over 4,000 employees, our Teparuk site specializes in producing nano-recording heads—a crucial component for the read/write functionality of hard disk drives.
