This position requires a meticulous, data-driven engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is committed to solving the most challenging problems in vehicle performance.What You'll DoDesign, validate, and deploy high-fidelity multibody vehicle dynamics models to drive innovation in ride quality, handling, and driver control systemsDevelop scalable, model-based engineering tools (e.g., Python, C/C++) to automate analysis, optimize designs, and accelerate cross-functional workflowsLead the creation and maintenance of simulation/modeling standards and best practices, ensuring consistency and efficiency across teamsArchitect CI/CD pipelines (using Git, Docker, Jenkins) for rapid iteration, testing, and deployment of vehicle dynamics modelsCollaborate with cross-functional teams (vehicle controls, chassis, firmware and autopilot etc) to integrate models into system-level designs and validate performance in SiL/HiL/DiL environmentsChampion methodology improvements by evaluating emerging tools and numerical techniques to enable faster, data-driven engineering decisions Mentor junior engineers and act as a technical authority for model integration, solver optimization, and multi-physics co-simulation standardsWhat You'll BringA Bachelor's or advanced degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or a related fieldDeep expertise in vehicle dynamics and multibody modeling, with a track record of translating physics-based simulations into real-world performance gains5+ years of experience in multibody vehicle dynamics modeling and system-level simulation5+ years of Modelica library development for commercial or enterprise-grade applicationsDemonstrated expertise with FMI/SSP standards and tools like Dymola, OpenModelica or similarProficiency in Python, C/C++, and version control systems (Git) for simulation automationExperience designing CI/CD pipelines for model deployment and regression testingLeadership in agile environments, balancing technical rigor with practical constraints to deliver robust, production-ready solutions, Tesla
