Interacts with staff and system departments via phone, fax, and email. Ensures accurate and effective scheduling of staff for both long- and short-term assignments. Handles a wide range of scheduling duties in a fast-paced environment, using standard guidelines and computerized scheduling software efficiently and without direct supervision. Provides administrative support to management for the activities of the Central Staffing Office. Proactively supports efforts that ensure delivery of safe patient care and services and promote a safe environment at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.Experience4 years of experience in administrative, secretarial, or business operationsExperience in using computers with a high degree of accuracyPreferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare, or related fieldEducationHigh school diploma or equivalentCertification SummaryNo professional certifications requiredKnowledge, Skills, And AbilitiesPersonal computer skills, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and other Windows-based applicationsAble to handle stressful work situations and conflicts with professionalismDemonstrated verbal and written communication skillsExcellent organizational skillsAbility to work effectively, without direct supervision, following standard proceduresDemonstrated customer service and interpersonal skillsJob ResponsibilitiesCoordinates scheduling of all assigned staffing resources for the Central Scheduling Office using computerized scheduling software.Understands and implements all guidelines for each level of staffing commitment.Accepts telephone calls from system staff unable to fulfill their staffing commitments, records/communicates information to appropriate parties in a timely manner and works with staff and managers to fill created staffing vacancies.Works closely with other members of the staffing team at all times.Functions as a Vastech superuser in support of unit-based scheduling staff.Oversees time and attendance for all Central Staffing Office staff and acts as an API superuser as needed.Communicates with all system units regarding scheduling needs and concerns.Resolves any conflicts about daily schedules in a timely, efficient, customer-friendly manner.Prepares, updates, prints, and distributes staffing schedules for delivery to designated clinical areas on a daily basis.Assists in identification of ways to improve scheduling process.Manages the performance management process for assigned staff and coordinates statistical reporting for departmental goal program(s) as required.Provides administrative support to management for the activities of the Central Staffing Office.Manages department supplies, inventory, and equipment.Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is an equal opportunity employer committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all qualified applicants and employees without regard to race, color, sex, religion, national origin, citizenship, age, veteran status, disability or any other characteristic covered by applicable law.Primary Location Address2220 North Druid Hills RoadJob FamilyAdministrative Support
