DescriptionAs a working team leader in a Starbucks retail operation, contributes to the University Centers success by providing legendary customer service to all customers, Responsibilities include merchandising, stocking, barista, customer service, food production, on-the-job training and quality control. Creates the Starbucks Experience for all customer by providing customers with prompt service, quality beverages and products, and maintain a clean and comfortable store environment. Basic responsibilities will include any or all of the following:

problem-solving in a timely manner, food production, customer service and complaints, data entry, use of Outlook for email and scheduling, placing orders online and by phone, handling staff shortages, equipment and personnel. Will follow established procedures in the absence of the supervisor. In coordination with their supervisor, will be responsible for food production, customer service, controlling labor hours and merchandising. QualificationsExceptional Customer Service and leadership skills with temperament and skill to provide an open climate and create opportunities for employee communication and positive divisional interaction.

Experience in placing online product orders, following par levelsAbility to operate an electronic cash register/Point-of-Sale system and prepared daily sales summaries and deposits. Working knowledge of automated retail business system. Proficiency in use of personal computer and standard office applications. Mathematical, accounting, and cashiering skill to operate cashier, interpret financial data, monthly reports, and make recommendations and proposals for retail prices. Demonstrated initiative to: identify unit level problems and/or needs develop solutions and/or needs proposals and implement action plans with limited assistance and input. Demonstrated organizational skills to effectively manage time.

Skill and ability to handle stressful situations, multiple deadlines, and difficult people in a calm professional manner. Knowledge and ability to effectively utilize employees and equipment in daily routines as well as unforeseen emergencies. Basic computer knowledge and skills to perform data entry of usage and waste tracking into online data base. Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to interact and communicate positively with other staff, and customers. Includes ability to build relationships and work as part of a team. Writing skills to communicate procedures, evaluations, and recommendations to management.

SPECIAL CONDITIONSStarbucks hours are running limited operations and needs of the department require varied work schedules from Monday - Saturday (i. e. , a. m. , p. m. , and/or weekend shifts and/or 4-8 hour workdays). This will include opening and closing shifts. Employees may be required to take off or work and/or work a reduced schedule during planned operational shutdown periods, such as winter, spring & summer breaks. Health codes require prescribed uniform, hair covering, and good personal hygiene. Schedules require extreme attention to promptness and excellent attendance. Background check required. Pay Transparency ActAnnual Full Pay Range:

$45,665 - $54,455 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)Hourly Equivalent: $21. 87 - $26. 08Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
