Purpose of Role: The Retail Sales Executive plays a vital role in delivering an exceptional in-store experience to customers. Meeting and exceeding individual and team sales goals whilst building and maintaining strong relationships with clients to foster loyalty and repeat business within Starlink. Above all, maintaining in-depth knowledge of products and services to effectively assist customers and deliver an exceptional Starlink customer experience. Accountability & Responsibilities of Role: Sales & Customer EngagementActively engage with customers to understand their needs, provide expert product recommendations, and ensure a superior shopping experience.
Meet and exceed daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets through proactive selling and customer relationship building. Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and after-sales follow-up with professionalism and efficiency. Stock & Product ManagementEnsure products are always available on the floor, aligned with sales demand and promotional cycles. Support replenishment planning and coordinate with the warehouse for urgent product movement. Maintain planogram compliance and suggest product rearrangements based on customer interaction trends. Category Development & Promotion ExecutionCollaborate with the merchandising team to provide feedback on customer preferences and fast-moving products.
Contribute to product selection decisions by sharing insights on market trends and local customer behavior. Implement in-store campaigns and promotional activities, ensuring visibility and stock readiness for promoted items. Sales Strategy ExecutionAssist the Retail Supervisor in executing localized sales strategies and seasonal action plans. Monitor and report competitor activities, pricing, and promotions to support strategic planning. Support the roll-out of loyalty programs, upselling tactics, and CRM initiatives to enhance repeat business. Operational ExcellenceEnsure full compliance with retail SOPs, health & safety standards, and loss prevention procedures. Oversee store readiness, cleanliness, and adherence to branding guidelines.
Support audit processes, including stock takes and mystery shopper evaluations. Team Collaboration & TrainingMentor junior staff or new joiners on product knowledge, selling techniques, and POS usage. Attend team meetings, contribute ideas for improving store performance, and act as a brand ambassador. Position Requirements: Educational Background: High school diploma or equivalent; a Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing, or Business Administration is preferred but not mandatory. Work Experience: 2+ years of experience in sales or customer-facing retail roles. Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets in a retail or direct sales environment.
Experience in customer service, with a focus on resolving complaints and enhancing customer satisfaction. Familiarity with sales systems and the use of CRM tools to track customer profiles and interactions. Familiarity with add-on selling cross-selling & suggestive selling techniques. Proven experience with selling electronics within a retail environment.
