We're looking for a Medical Assistant to join our Nursing Department in the Behavioral Health Division. Our Behavioral Health Services division provides comprehensive and coordinated outpatient services to individuals with mental illness and/or an addictive disorder (alcohol, drugs, gambling) for both adults and children.
Minimum QualificationsTwo years of experience in administrative services in a healthcare setting; ORTwo years of experience or training in patient care; ORAn associate’s degree or certificate in a medical assistant training program. Guide patients through clinic transitions Coordinate referrals with other providers and services in a timely and professional manner Follow-up with referral sources in a timely fashion as requiredPromote coordination of service delivery and prevent duplication of servicesTake and record measures of patient’s general physical condition (vital signs, waist circumference, weight/height/BMI)Collect specimens for urine drug screens (UDS)Collect specimens for urine pregnancy testing (UPT) Measure blood alcohol concentration (BAC)Position-Specific Details: Appointment Type: Probational or PermanentWork Schedule: Work hours are 8: 00 AM to 4: 30 PM, Monday - Friday.
