Job Duties and Other InformationProvide nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) across personal health programs including Reproductive Health, STD/HIV, WIC, Tuberculosis, and Immunizations. Serve as a lead nurse and sexually transmitted disease (STD) clinician, ensuring clinic coverage and effective patient care. Perform nursing assessments, including patient history and physical exams, in the Reproductive Health Clinic following approved standing orders. Conduct lab tests such as Syphilis IgG, HIV, hemoglobin, pregnancy, and urine screening; prepare specimens for shipping and review lab results for necessary clinical action.

Provide follow-up and case management for patients, including direct observed therapy for tuberculosis patients and contacts. Assist Nurse Practitioners in scheduled medical clinics and utilize electronic health records (EHR) and other clinical databases for accurate documentation. Monitor tuberculosis patients in home and clinic settings; perform monthly symptom reviews and develop plans for T-spot testing. Provide ongoing patient education, counseling, and disease prevention services across all programs and clinics. Screen, update, and administer required immunizations and related counseling to all clinic patients. Collaborate with supervisory staff to coordinate STD program duties, activities, and clinics.
