Job Description

The Administrative Specialist II position is a part of the Human Resources Division administrative team whose primary focus is to support all HR managers and employees and provide support and guidance to all DAC employees The work involves access to high level and confidential/sensitive information and requires attention to detail and the ability to independently prioritize workload.

This position requires constant interaction with all Human Resources employees as well as external divisions such as the Controller’s office, Budget & Finance, Purchasing and as needed, all DAC employees across the state and therefore must have a strong customer service ethic. This position is part of the administrative team that provides support for answering phones, onboarding & offboarding employees, accounting functions such as submitting and entering invoices for payment, purchasing supplies, office furniture and misc.

other items as needed, make travel arrangements, process expense reimbursements, manage motor fleet vehicles, and a host of other duties such as maintaining org charts, contact lists, inventory, and requesting a wide range of various computer accesses. This position is eligible for a flexible/hybrid telework schedule under the State of NC Telework Program. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with State Benefits. If selected for this position, a new salary will be recalculated taking into consideration the quantity of relevant education and experience, funding availability, and internal equity. Based upon these factors, a pay increase MAY result.
