Role OverviewThe Product Development Assistant supports the Handbags & Footwear Product Development/Production team in the product development process from concept kick-off to production, ensuring every product meets the highest brand standards.
Essential DutiesTrack all development submits and samplesRequest all lab dips and strike offsAssist with managing sample organization and sample movement between officesSupport managers in directed daily correspondence with factoriesAssist with sourcing seasonal fabrics/trimsAssist with sending out all tech packs for the seasonCatalog and maintain a record of all fabric materials and maintain organization for all approved submitsCreate style numbers and help maintain/update development WIP as well as occasional linesheet maintenancePrerequisite Knowledge, Skills, & Education1-3 year of relevant work experience, including internshipsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environment and open to changeAbility to adapt to new situations quicklyIntermediate level understanding of G-Suite and Microsoft OfficeEntrepreneurial mentality; resourceful with creative problem-solving skillsEagerness to learn the ins-and-outs of product development and sourcing; excited to grow with the brandStrong organizational skills and high attention to detailStrong written and verbal communication skillsPhysical and Mental RequirementsStanding and sitting for extended periods of timeLifting up to 25 pounds in a safe and prudent mannerAbility to easily move throughout an office with easeAbility to read, write, and understand EnglishAbility to effectively interact with others internally and externallyAbility to utilize office equipment in a safe and prudent manner, including a copymachine, fax machine, computer, telephone, and other general office equipment that may be used regularlyAbility to work with many different personalitiesAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentCorrectable vision and hearingAbility to work on-site, full-time (with occasional ability to work from home on Mondays and Friday with manager approval)Job Type:
