General Accountant Singapore

Stavian Singapore is a dynamic and rapidly growing player in the commodity trading industry. We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Accountant to join our dedicated team. Location: 16 Raffles Quay, Hong Leong Building, #20-05A&06, Singapore 048581Key Responsibilities: Manage the full spectrum of accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, bank reconciliations, and fixed assets.

Prepare and analyze comprehensive financial statements, such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Oversee the timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes. Ensure strict compliance with local accounting standards (SFRS/IFRS), tax regulations, and internal company policies. Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports, providing insights for strategic decision-making. Process and verify trade-related transactions, ensuring accurate recording of commodity purchases, sales, and inventory movements. Coordinate and liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and other regulatory bodies.

Support ad-hoc financial projects and analysis as required by management. Requirements: Qualifications & ExperienceDiploma in Accountancy with 5+ years of relevant experience, including managing full set of accounts. Strong preference for commodity trading background (eg coal, metal, ARG & SOFT commodities, etc) and freight businessSkills: In-depth knowledge of Singaporean accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations. Proficient in accounting software and MS Office applications, with a strong command of Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of MYOB multi-user accounting software is a plus. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, highly organized, with exceptional attention to detail.

Ability to work independently with high self-motivation and a proactive approach. Possess a positive working attitude and strong sense of responsibility.
